Hey guys. I wanted to make a separate journal about this, since there've been some questions. Plus I would be eternally grateful for anyone who would be willing to repost this. The more commissions the better!
THE ISSUE:
Recently I brought my hard drive into work to give a friend a soundtrack and it fell on the floor in the process and now doesn't work.
Normally we'd say oh well and get a new hard drive, BUT
4 years worth of my daughters pictures, and 6 years worth of animation files from my past studio jobs are on that drive, and I need to get them back.
Do do this we will either need to pay 550 or 850 (depending on how broken the drive is)
SOO to help raise money to pay for this expense I am holding a sale
on SINGLE CHARACTER, SOLID COLOUR, NON-STEAMPUNK commissions.
It will be all I'm doing for the next two weeks.
I am selling them for 10 dollars. I am willing to do multiple characters in one commission but they are 10$ a piece.
SO
If you're interested in a commission:
1. note me here on DA or send an email to kkerns.bunnimation@gmail.com
2. Send 10$(or more if it's multiple characters) to bunny_sailormoon@yahoo.com via paypal
3. I'll be streaming the next two weeks pretty much everyday if you're interested in seeing yours drawn.
4.As long as you note/make a payment before the 10th of February you can get one for 10. After that they jump back to regular price.
I've also had some people who were interested in donating a dollar or two, if that's the case:

There's a link to the donate page.
I really appreciate the kindness and support that's been shown to me thus far, and hopefully those people have gotten cool art out of it as well.
I hope to continue to get commissions and every little bit helps.
Thank you as always
you guys rock!

-------------------UPDATE----------------
Sadly...Hard drive is going to cost us 850. ;~;

I was just wondering how your hard drive went. Did it got fixed?
I don't know if you've considered attempting to repair it yourself? If it fell while running, chances are it experienced a head crash, and most of its contents will still be recoverable. Mechanically, it's probably in full working order.
Assuming it's okay mechanically-wise, I highly recommend "iCare Data Recovery Pro 5.0". It's free, and I successfully managed to recover most of the files on a flash drive that had been corrupted and re-formatted. I can't imagine it exasperating the hard drive's situation, so in my opinion it's worth a try after looking at repair costs, but if the pictures are of great sentimental value I can understand that you'd want to give them the best chance of being restored.
In either case, good luck, I hope it all goes well!
Hope $5 and a word to my friends help.
